Every piece on this shelf is crocheted by hand. A fan starts at one point and opens, row after row. A ruffle gathers, so the edge carries more wire than the middle. No two come out quite alike.
Indigo Fan Earrings are 3.8 cm across at 5 g each. Tiered Fan Studs are 1.3 cm deep and weigh 6 g each. Ruffle Hoop Earrings weigh 7 g each. The Ruffle Collar Necklace runs about 49 cm overall, with a ruffle 3 cm wide, and weighs about 23 g.
The wire is copper or brass, silver-plated, gold-tone or colored. Fittings are mostly 18K gold-plated or palladium-plated. Earring posts and pins are 925 sterling silver where the page says so. Nothing is solid gold or solid sterling.
Store each piece in the paper drawer box it ships in, so the pleats are not pressed out of shape. Keep it dry, and put it on after lotion and perfume.
Questions about fans and ruffles
Will a fan or ruffle lose its shape?
Store it in its box and do not press or pull it. Within six months of delivery, if a stitch loosens, a post bends or a clasp fails in normal wear, write to us with a photo and we send a replacement. Water damage, loss and pieces pulled out of shape are not covered.
Are they heavy?
Fan and ruffle earrings weigh 5–9 g each. The Gilded Fan Brooch is 9 g. The Ruffle Collar Necklace is about 23 g.
Are the posts sterling silver?
Most earrings here close with 925 sterling silver posts or pins. Indigo Fan Earrings list silver posts without the 925 mark. Nothing is solid sterling or solid gold.
Is each one the same?
No two are alike. Each piece is crocheted by hand, so the loops sit a little differently from one to the next.
Can I return it?
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, unworn and in the box. If a piece arrives damaged or wrong, we cover it.
